A Communi(t)y Garden Open Mic

February may be the shortest month of the year, but it is also the coldest and harshest. As things continue to escalate on both the national and global scale with increased ICE raids and continued genocide in places like Gaza and Sudan, let us gather and ruminate on what it means to survive through such cold and harsh realities!

Thorne Malik., of Communi(t)y Garden, in partnership with Mutual Aid Hartford, invites poets, musicians, and other creatives to join us at Semilla Cafe + Studio and share work centered in WEATHERING & ENDURANCE, yet we welcome all performers with respect and consideration for the audience and community!

A Communi(t) Garden Open Mic is a space to be witnessed and to witness one another. Come to share, come to listen, come to be held—if only for a moment—as we continue finding ways to survive and soften together.
